A memorable day

Imagine you are in London living with an English family and they take you to celebrate Bonfire Night. Write a letter to your family talking about this memorable day.
-Introduce the letter.
-Explain what you did on Bonfire Night:
 Explain the origin of this festival, talk about all the preparations, what you did, saw, ate.... something that you will never forget (any anecdote) and how you felt that day.
-Finish the letter.

Remember to use:
-vocabulary of Guy Fawkes.
-Grammar and vocabulary revised so far.
-Expressions learnt so far.

Make your writing sound real and interesting for a good mark!!!

How to improve your listening and pronuncation skills

Some students find it hard to improve their pronunciation or understand spoken English. This needs lots of practice and patience!. Here you have got a few exercises which will help you. Repeat them as many times as posible.
It is also good to listen to songs and sing along. Get your favorite songs from YouTube, these must include the lyrics! Sing along until your pronunciation is perfect!!! Click here to see some examples.

Project: A Youth Club

THE COUNCIL HAS ORGANIZED A CONTEST TO CREATE A YOUTH CLUB. THE COUNCIL WILL SUPPORT THE BEST PROJECT.

• In groups of 4, create the project. Include the following:

-Background situation in the town.

-Objectives.

-Detailed information:

-Location. (Why there)

- Who is going to run it. (and number)

-Who can join in.

-Activities (indoor/outdoor; weekdays/weekends)

-Timetable.

-Security.

-Fees.

-How to get money to run the Club: Sponsors, activities to raise money...

-Other.

-The project must consist of:

              -The written project.

-A PPT including the most important information.

-Photographs.

-An application form.

-A timetable for the activities.
